A roof coating is a liquid layer rolled over a flat or low-slope roof. Discounted Roofing LLC first seals the weak points (drain boxes, metal edging, pipes, penetrations, chimney areas and skylights) with commercial-grade roofing cement reinforced with fabric mesh. Then we apply a silver coating with fiberized UV aluminum across the whole roof.

Clean and prep
The roof is cleaned so the sealant and coating bond to the surface.
Seal the weak points
Drain boxes, metal edging, pipes, penetrations, chimney areas and skylights are sealed with roofing cement and fabric mesh.
Repair cracks and low spots
Cracks are patched and ponding areas are built up before coating.
Silver coating
A full coat of fiberized UV aluminum silver coating over the whole roof.

Is coating right for your roof?
Good candidates: a flat or low-slope roof that is still watertight or has a few small leaks, a roof whose old coating has worn thin, or a roof that bakes the top floor in summer.
Not a good fit: a roof with widespread blistering, soft deck, or a membrane that is cracked across large areas. Coating over that does not correct the underlying failure, so we will recommend a repair or replacement instead.

Can roof coating stop a leak?
